The Ouachita National Recreational Trail and the Friends of the Ouachita Trail both have a rich histories from the first imagining of a major trail through the Ouachita Mountains, to the building of the trail, and now the perpetuation of maintenance for all the major trails in the Ouachitas through the support of the FOOT organization. The pages in this section are a work in progress to tell that story through our archival material.
